1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account or using the tools available at habeas.tech, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.
2. Professional Responsibility & Accuracy
Habeas Tech provides software utility tools to assist attorneys with State Public Defender (SPD) invoice formatting and practice workflows. Attorneys remain solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all billing entries submitted to the State Public Defender Assigned Counsel Division or any court.
3. Subscriptions & Free Tier
The SPD Billing CSV Generator is provided free. Additional tools may be offered from time to time as separate subscribable packages managed via Stripe. Subscriptions may be canceled at any time via the Customer Portal.
4. Third-Party Integrations
Our service integrates with third-party systems including Clio (Themis Solutions Inc.) and Stripe. Habeas Tech is an independent platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Clio or the State Public Defender of Wisconsin.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Wisconsin law, Habeas Tech shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from service interruptions, Clio API changes, or submission errors.
